Aspirin, Amiodarone, beta blockers, extreme illness may alter TSH results.
TSH may be decreased in the first trimester of pregnancy.
Normal range: TSH= 0.3 - 3.0 micro IU/mL ( New Criteria ); T4=4.5-12 micro g/dl;T3=60-200 ng/dl.
High fat diet increases thyrotropin ( a thyroid related hormone ) and O2 consumption.
